Chemical Engineering – Imperial College London
Amparo Galindo FRSC is Professor of Physical Chemistry at Imperial. She holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Sheffield, and a BSc in Chemistry from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her work relates to the delivery of macroscopic properties predictively, and their representation in global thermodynamic spaces. Her group supports the design of better solvents, materials, products, and processes in applications where molecular interactions play a central role. She works at the forefront of the development of SAFT methods addressing complex systems including charged solutions, solubility prediction for systems of interest in pharma applications, polymers, and novel solvents for CO2 capture.
