Professor Nilay Shah OBE FREng holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London and has previously held the Head of Department and Director of Undergraduate Studies positions at the same institution. He works on the application of model-based methods for energy and industrial systems engineering and supply-chain optimisation. Nilay has been the recipient of several awards including IChemE Junior Moulton Medal, an RAEng/ICI Engineering Fellowship, the Royal Society of Chemistry Beilby Medal and Prize, the Imperial College Rector’s Award for Research Excellence, RAEng MacRobert Award, Imperial College Engineering Teaching Excellence Award and IChemE Hutchison Medal.
