Dr Vassilis Charitopoulos

Associate Professor in Process Systems Engineering

Chemical Engineering – UCLVassilis Charitopoulos is an Associate Professor of Process Systems Engineering in the Department of Chemical Engineering at UCL. Vassilis holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a PhD from the Department of Chemical Engineering at UCL. Before joining UCL, he was a Research Associate in the Energy Policy Research Group at Cambridge Judge Business School. Research from the group of Dr Charitopoulos focuses on develops next-generation methods for optimisation under uncertainty aiming to address challenging problems arising in the areas of: (i) net-zero energy & chemicals, (ii) digitalisation of chemical & process supply chains operations.
