Chemical Engineering – UCLMaximilian Besenhard holds an MSc in Technical Physics and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Graz University of Technology. With experience in both academia and industry, including Siemens and the Research Center Pharmaceutical Engineering in Graz, his research bridges computation and experiment to advance digital twins, AI-driven materials discovery, and self-driven manufacturing. His work spans nanomaterials, flow reactors for advanced functional materials, sensor technology, and hybrid modelling approaches, always developed and tested with experimental systems in his group at the Manufacturing Futures Lab
